##WHAT IS DNSTRACER ?

Dnstracer determines where a given Domain Name Server (DNS) gets its information from, and follows the chain of DNS servers back to the servers which know the data.

##EXAMPLE OF USAGE

Show trace of DNS for google.com using A.ROOT-SERVERS.NET

dnstrace google.com

##FURTHER INFORMATION

The 13 root name servers are operated by 12 independent organisations. More information is available from: http://www.root-servers.org/

Google also operates 2 public DNS servers: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/
